Delivery Update

Hamilton Rugby Club has continued to support Holy Cross, John Ogilvie and Hamilton Grammar on Thursday 9th of November and played our 1st Hamilton Tri School Development Evening. 28 pupils attended Hamilton Rugby Club to take part in touch, contract training and full contact games.

Alan Falconer - the session was a great opportunity for new players to develop key skills and interact with other players from the laical area. It was great to see a number of club players there brushing up on their skills and enjoying an extra session of rugby. Sessions like this further develop our bonds with the local secondary schools

Hamilton Rugby Club will be running these session ever 3 weeks for the remainder of the season, with both male and female players being provided with more opportunity to play rugby in Hamilton.

Hamilton Rugby club have been working closely with John Ogilvie High School in term 1 to introduce Rugby into their curriculum. The PE department have moved towards Rugby as an alternative to more static and less engaging sports, the attainment of pupils is up and this has been put down to several factors including previous positive experiences in primary school and the constant activity of the sport. The main focus for the Curricular activity is passing, moving and developing structures and strategies, the sport also embraces curriculum for excdeleanc and encourages cooperation throughout our sessions.
