Gone with the wind

So Storm Dennis may have got the better of the first team, but the wee Bulls are made of stronger stuff.
We travelled in reduced numbers to Cumnock with a sense of trepidation, but were pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Other than a “bit of a breeze” it was ideal rugby conditions. Unfortunately we were just sort of the regulation team numbers, but thanks to P6 two of their squad joined us to allow us to field a team.

Our first was against West of Scotland, which we started strongly, touching down over the try line on our first attack.
The game swung from end to end, with some impressive team work allowing us to score some great tries and deny our opponents time and space, especially around the breakdown.
West won a very evenly contested match, but a huge number of positives were taken from it.

Game two, we faced our hosts Cumnock. This was like night and day compared to our first game.
A combination of low numbers, match fitness, but especially a lack of focus meant that we didn't give a good account of ourselves. Too many missed tackles and not enough support meant that Cumnock ran out comfortable winners. In a game that we could have won, we unfortunately defeated ourselves.
