The Jamie McPhee Memorial Award holds a special place in our club and in the hearts of the whole #BullsFamily. This award was created in memory of Jamie, a former player who was tragically taken from us too soon and is presented to a team or individual who has excelled, achieved against adversity, contributed to their team, community or for the greater good of Hamilton Rugby Club.

This year the award has been given to Sam Smith for the hundreds of volunteer hours she has put into Hamilton Rugby Club to help with the return of rugby to Laigh Bent from COVID-19. Sam is present on all youth days and has helped our Development Officer to implement our return to play protocols.

Sam was presented with the award by Jamie’s parents, Marilyn and Nicky, and Jamie’s daughter Rachel.
