Hamilton Under 18 player, Jordan Craig wins selection to the Scotland Under 17s to play against England.

On Sunday 22nd of April, Hamilton's Under 18 player Jordan Craig headed South with the 26 man Under 17 Scotland Squad to play England U17 at the Kingston Park Stadium in Newcastle. Home of Newcastle Falcons.

Jordan has been training with the Scotland U17 squad for a few months and was delighted when the squad was finally whittled down to the final 26 and he had managed to secure a place in the squad.
Jordan was further delighted when he found out that not only was he in the squad but he was in the starting team on the wing for the big game. Even although there were eleven players on the bench Jordan managed to get a good sixty minutes of game time and an assist to one of Scotland's trys before he was replaced.

The English team were much bigger physically and while we spent a lot of the time defending we still held our own and showed well as a team. It was a great opportunity I was given and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

While Some of Jordan's family and friends made the journey down to support him, the whole of Hamilton Rugby Club would like to congratulate Jordan on his selection and as a Club, we are extremely proud of what you have achieved.

Alan Falconer Club DO commented that

Jordan has committed to the program and attends 3 sessions a week with the Glasgow U18 squad, this proves that hard work pays off and Jordan has earned the right represent his country.

Jordan is entering his final year in the Youth section of the Club and we all hope that this is just the start of things for Jordan. He is certainly an inspiration to the younger players in the club who can see that if you put in the hard work then the rewards are there to be had.
