Meet your game day mascot Ruaridh

Hamilton Rugby Club is delighted to announce that the honour of being the mascot for our 1XV game against Dumfries is Ruaridh Newton who are part of our P3 team.

Ruaridh, who is 7 years old loves being part of the #BullsFamily. He really enjoys being a bull because of all the friends he has made and because his coaches are awesome...especially his dad!

When talking with Ruaridh about his favourite players, he highlighted Adam Hastings as his favourite professional player, and Tony Malley as his favourite Hamilton Bull!

Ruaridh will lead the team out for the 1XV's Tennent's National 2 encounter with Dumfries kicking off at 3pm, more match details can be found here.

Mascots are selected at random from nominated youth members or children associated with Club Members and must be aged between 5 and 12. If you would like to nominate your child for the mascot role on Saturday 19th of October against Gordonians, please email David Vickers, Hamilton Rugby Club Youth Convenor with your nomination. Please include a current profile picture of the child, a little bit about why they want to be a mascot and information about their interest in rugby including favourite players.

Have a great day Ruaridh!

David and James loved their match day experiences, our 1XV really made their day! Would you like to be part of our 1st XV match days?
