In November 2020 we lost Aaron Beale to a rare form of cancer called neuroendocrine cancer at the age of 27.
There is nothing that will ever be able to make sense of this tragedy but a group of us got together and decided to try and make something positive come from this horrible event. We all resolved to try to improve our physical health and undertake a challenge together to show this and therefore created ‘Arran for Aaron’.
Aaron enjoyed both running and cycling so Arran for Aaron involves a cycle around 3/4 of Arran (43 miles) followed by a half marathon run in one day. A total of 57 miles and 2730 ft of elevation. A group of us, all current or former players of the Bulls, will be doing either the full challenge or different levels/parts - a huge challenge to a group of boys not quite used to the high level of exercise.
We have been training hard in preparation for this and would like to remember our friend and brother through raising money for a charity which will be able to help many more people in an unbelievably tough situation.
You can keep up to date with our challenge on our Facebook page
All donations would be gratefully received here
We would be forever grateful if you could share our page and cause.
