With the sun shining over the fantastic facility at West of Scotland, Hamilton P4s showed their infamous nervous energy. With low team numbers we knew we would need to rely on a gifted player from the opposition. Findlay (from West of Scotland) gladly volunteered to join the Bulls to allow us to field a team. The Hamilton boys took Findlay into their fold and they played as if he had been there from their first training session. And Findlay repaid them by scoring quite a few tries.
Whilst the boys continued to play their best, it was obvious to see that the more experienced GHA dented their confidence, The team dug deep, playing for over an hour with very little time between games. It is fair to say, that they didn't take defeat easily with the day ending with some tired and frustrated little Bulls.
Jack and Robbie continued to encourage and praise the boys, coaching them through their disappointments. They took time at the end of the match to sit them down and begin to restore their resolve.
The next few weeks training sessions will be a welcome break from competition.
Keep going little Bulls.
