Young Bulls forfeit game
The game was forfeited to Stirling as Hamilton could only field 12 players.
Thanks to Stirling for coming through and the game, thanks also to Neil Mitchell for officiating the game superbly.
Stirling kindly provided five players so that a development game could take place and they started strongly with three tries in 12 minutes, then unfortunately ( for them) they could not convert their conversions. The end of the first 20 minutes ended 20-0 to Stirling.
The second 20 minutes saw a fantastic link up on the wing between David Brogan and Christopher McChesney supporting, which unfortunately did not result in a try on this occasion. A knock on, at the line gave Hamilton a scrum with Hamilton scoring straight away from a put in.
The Bulls came onto a game mid way through the second 20, Leboni Mzwimbi linking up with Ronan Gemmell, running round to score under the uprights. David Brogan and Ronan Gemmell both converting for the extra points. Stirling stole another try just on the blow of the whistle at the end of the second period.
The third saw Stirling running in seven unanswered tries, the Bulls continued to push forward however they lost almost every time they went to ground, turnovers assisting Stirling every time.
Stirling are a quality side and the score did not reflect the true picture of the game. The Bulls played well, carried the ball, pushed it out wide and defended superbly on occasion. There were individual tackles that made sure the score remained what is was. The drills practiced during the week are showing to work. Moving up as a team and tracking across the field in defence, some tweaks to other aspects of the game and we will be a force to be reckoned with........Go Bulls!!!!
