U18s get back into scoring ways
Training pays off in challenging a strong Boroughmuir side
The Under 18s implemented a new game plan this week against a strong Boroughmuir team, where, despite strong performances and game structure the opposition try line had become and elusive area of the park for the last two games. This week the speed of the Hamilton game was creating more opportunities and and more importantly the team were capitalising on this by scoring.
Considering that there had only been one training session working on the more dynamic structure, gaining three trys was, by a measure, re-enforcing the positive nature of the play and the effect it can have on the performance.
Lots to work on for next week against Stirling but the continuing growth in rugby knowledge, specifically in how to compete at this level will make a massive difference as we move into the regional cup after Christmas.
Thanks once again for the great touch line support, helpers with catering and strip washes. Thank you to Mary for the cover photo this week and thank you to both sets of players who threw everything into the game to make it a great spectacle of Rugby.
