The programme offers young players between the age of 16 and 18 the opportunity to develop their coaching skills and supports them in the start of their journey to working in sport.

The Programme will run for a full year, from May 2019 until May 2020. The Academy is made up of both practical and theory sessions, designed to challenge you as a young coach.

You will be required to attend YCA evenings at the Rugby Club at least twice a month on Mondays from 5pm - 6:30pm. On Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings you will be supporting the clubs mini section, delivering small parts of sessions and learning from other coaches.

In total you will be committing 7 hours per month to the programme.

The club will support you in gaining a Level 1 in Rugby Coaching and Refereeing as well as gaining a Scottish Rugby Youth Coaching Course.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any young person looking to have a career in sport and will help with applications in the future for colleges and universities.
