Hamilton 7s will take place this year on the new date of May the 6th and will be part of Hamilton's Big Weekend Of Rugby that will include a special Rugby event on the Friday Night, The Hamilton 7s on the Saturday and our Annual Youth Tournament on Sunday the 7th.

The pressure was on to find a date that did not clash with the over spill of the seasons fixtures and Finals Day at Murrayfield or, later in May when there is the fall off in interest as everyone becomes Rugby'd out for the season. It was decided that as a Club we would work to create a massive annual rugby event that worked for us and would, over the years build to be the premier event of that weekend.

We know as a club that we can deliver on big events and with the quality of people that we have in Hamilton Rugby Club there is no reason for this not to work for this big event.

This year thanks to sponsors we have prize money for the Winners and Runners up of the Cup and the Shield in the senior 7s. The hope is that this will entice more interest as the event builds over the next few years.
On The Saturday there is also an Under 18's 7s Tournament planned, which for the first time will add to the day and the expected footfall of the event.

As always we will be calling for volunteers so please step up and offer help in areas that you know are required or be prepared to respond when we come looking for help. Many hands make light work.
