Introducing Hamilton's Tartan Touch Tournament

The Tartan Touch season at Hamilton Rugby Club is drawing to a close, and to celebrate it's success the club will be hosting a Tartan Touch Tournament from 1pm on 6th August.

Teams will showcase their skills that have been developed over the last six weeks and the winning team will be presented with the Hamilton Rugby Tartan Touch Trophy for 2017.

The format of the session will follow previous weeks with mixed teams playing against each other in 6-a-side games with the 8 simple rules of Tartan Touch. Each game lasts 10 minutes and with rolling subs, it really is a game for all ages, abilities and fitness levels...essentially everyone!

Tartan Touch - Scottish Rugby’s new Fun, Simple and Social version of non-contact rugby has been running over the last few months at 20 hubs throughout Scotland. Hamilton has successfully promoted this initiative with the most season passes sold and have been praised by the SRU.

"Hamilton are a great example of how to take the programme by the horns and really make it work”

It's not too late to give it a try - all ages and abilities are welcome, sessions are only £3 per person and can be purchased here

This day also ties in with our annual RugbyForce day on the 6th August which starts at 11am. For more information click here

Why not come along to help get the club all set for the new season and then take part in the Tartan Touch Tournament?
