Bulls joining up with the Glasgow Thistles

As reported in December, Hamilton Rugby Club have 3 young bulls selected for the 2018 Glasgow Thistles annual tour to Perpignan, France.

We have caught up the boys about this opportunity:

Jack Skelton
"I am delighted to have been selected to join the Glasgow Thistles and go on there annual trip to Perpignan. This will develop my rugby skills and allow me to set goals for the future. I will also be able to meet new friends and share the experience with them. Playing rugby has shaped me to be the person I am today and it has provided me with many qualities which I can use in all aspects of my life"

David Hunter
"I am really proud of myself for being picked and I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has congratulated me. I also want to thank my coaches and my team because without them I wouldn't have this opportunity. What I am looking forward to when I go away is the standard of coaching we are going to get over there which will help me improve as a rugby player however I am also looking forward to the experience and I cant wait for it. I have played rugby for 7 years and I enjoy being part of a great club and team rugby has helped me in loads of ways in my life. It has helped with discipline and to show respect to people and this will help me with my future"

Jacob Fawcett"I am happy that I was chosen to play rugby in France because I have never been to France. And it will be good to play rugby in a different country - in the sun for a change!
I have been playing for Hamilton bulls for two years now and it is my honour to represent the club in France.
I started playing rugby when I was eight years old. I still love the game so much and I know going to France will be a highlight of my rugby career. On the trip I will along with Jack and David proudly represent Hamilton bulls and we will do our best to give a good impression of this great club!"

We congratulate Jacob Fawcett, Jack Skelton and David Hunter on their selection, the players are now working hard to fund their share of this trip.
