With the government and Scottish Rugby guidelines changes we are delighted to embark on return to play protocols.
Seniors
Our Ladies squad will return to training from Tuesday 23rd March for individual fitness sessions led my our Ladies head coach.
Please note only players within South Lanarkshire at this moment can take part at this time.
Our Senior male squads have decided to hold fire for now to await further guidance on when touch based activities will be allowed. Fitness challenges will be set for the players until further notice.
Minis
P1-P7 (11 years old and younger) are set to return on Sunday 21st March. At this moment in time mini rugby will not be allowed to play full contact and will all be playing touch games. With the current guidelines, for the P7 players who are now 12 we will be running separate sessions to develop individual and positional skills.
For the time being, only 1 parent/guardian will be allowed to attend training per child
MIDI Rugby
Current guidance prevents MIDI players from taking part in touch games. As such we will not be running normal MIDI sessions and instead be running smaller sessions ran by our Development Officer.
Today, Friday 26th Match 2021 Scottish Rugby have published a new Return to Rugby timeline. Get all details here
Steven Meenagh, Club Development Officer has produced the graphics below highlighting guidance for our minis for Sunday.
For all questions about return to rugby please contact Steven Meenagh.
As always, if you develop any symptoms of COVID-19 at any time we direct you to www.nhsinform.scot and urge you to follow the Government guidance.
We cannot wait to have rugby back at Laigh Bent soon!
