New lease of life for playing tops

Tonci Buzov, a former captain of the Croatian National Rugby team, has resided and coached in the Glasgow area for the past few years. Tonci has continued to stay in touch with his home team Ragbi Klub Nada who play in Split, Croatia and when he learned they were looking to develop their U16 and youth squads, he was keen to assist his developing rugby nation.

Tonci made contact with Stuart Dow, the Scottish Rugby Welfare officer who was able to give advice on potential clubs and companies that would be able to supply rugby tops for his home club.

On hearing of the request from Tonci, Hamilton Rugby club stepped up and offered to supply not only a full set of strips for Ragbi Klub Nada U16 squad but also strips for several youth and mini teams.

Tonci is pictured receiving the strips from U15 youth player Adam Skelton and was overwhelmed at the number of tops given he said

"Thanks to Hamilton Rugby Club for such a nice gesture of giving this kit to my former club and the kids. I know they will be delighted and thankful, and it will help to develop the game in Split"
