Proposal for cameras to come to Laigh Bent and Club facilities are now a priority.

The committee has taken the decision to join the rest of the National 1 Clubs in agreeing to the participation in an on line TV programme that would be dedicated to the games in our league. Over 25 weeks there will be one game featured every week as well as information and possible clips of other games. The format will be similar to games you may have seen on Borders TV or of the Premier 1 games available online. It will feature highlights and post-match interviews.
This will guarantee to feature Hamilton in at least 2 games before the Christmas break and will bring the cameras to Hamilton on at least one of those occasions. The committee believes this will give maximum exposure to our sponsors as well as showcase our Club on a national stage.
However after the league agreeing to this on Wednesday the SRU have questioned elements of programme regarding advertisers and a potential clash with BT. There is now going to be a review to see if a solution can be found that will still allow this to go on.

In other matters it was reported to the committee, the investigation into a path around the first team pitch and a possible new storage facility for pitch side and training equipment is now fully investigated and priced. It is currently being investigated to see what grant support we can get in order to fund what the committee see as vital development issues at Laigh Bent. Furthermore on the development front, the detailed report supplied to the committee about maintaining our existing facilities is also currently getting priced. This is in order that priorities can be established and a plan implemented to tackle the necessary work required to keep our facilities one of the best in Scotland.
