Wet 'n Wild with the Bulls!

As everyone familiar with the club will be aware the area surrounding the main pitch is in desperate need of a path. Access to the back pitches is becoming increasingly difficult and at some points pretty dangerous. Over the last few months the committee have tried in vain to secure grants to get a path installed. As we believe we have now exhausted all avenues for grants we have made the decision to start a whole club fundraising exercise to get this much needed project under way. We are looking at a cost of £20,000 for a professionally installed path that will be suitable for able and less able users.

£20,000 seems like a huge amount to raise but shared across everyone associated with the club I believe we will hit this figure sooner than we think. To kick start the fundraising the committee have allocated funds raised at the hugely successful fireworks event towards the path fund.

A fantastic start made possible by members, their friends and family supporting this club event.

A 'path totaliser' will appear in the club and on the web to keep everyone up to date with progress.

We have plenty ideas in the pipeline however with Christmas only a matter of weeks away there won't be any major fundraising events planned. I'm sure everyone has other paths for their money at this time.

So with this in mind all we're looking for is any loose change you can spare. By the end of the week there will be two bottles placed on the bar in the club house. One will have Iain Leggate's name on it the other Alan Falconers. These will sit on the bar until the end of the season.....though hopefully emptied a few times along the way. Whoever's bottle collects the most money will be placed in stocks at the last home game of the season and spectators will be invited to try their luck at wet sponge throwing...for a small fee. There were other names suggested for this and indeed other objects that could be thrown, but it was felt money raised from Leggate and Big Al may actually fund a 3G pitch!

I'm sure I can count on everyone's support in raising funds for this much needed facility that will be a huge benefit to everyone involved with and visiting our club.
Please get involved and let's see if we can get work underway by the start of next season.

If you have any fundraising ideas please get in touch with David Vickers.

Thank you
