After considering a variety of options, the decision has been taken to implement a course of gravel banding. This involves opening the soil using a vibrating stainless steel tine with gravel fed immediately into the slot. A wheel or roller on the back of the machine then partly closes the band. Gravel banding is considered effective because the bands are close together becoming a popular technique on pitches to improve overall drainage.

Work will commence week beginning 27th of June. Rab will provide regular progress updates throughout the period of work.
