Last week (October 2nd) marked the start of our annual primary schools programmes where every child from Primary 4 to Primary 7 are introduced to the wonderful game of Rugby. Rugby Development Officer, Alan Falconer along with his team of development staff attended local primary schools associated with Hamilton Grammar which included Woodside, Quarter, Chatellerault, Beckford and St Johns Primary School.

This week (October 9th) the development team are delivering in the Holy Cross Learning Community to Our Lady's and St Annes, St Elizabeth's, St Paul's, St Mary's Hamilton and St Mary's Larkhall.

Alan Falconer; "A vital part of Hamilton Rugby Clubs youth development is delivering rugby activity in our local community, our programmes continues to grow and expand to meet the demand for our sports offerings. Our programmes have a strategic focus on building youth numbers gradually and sustainably throughout Mini Rugby (P4-7) and then transitioning to U13 Rugby. These annual programmes are highly rated by all the schools in our learning community and provide clear school to club links."

Hamilton Rugby Clubs Development team will delivery rugby to the remainder of the learning community over the next 4 weeks with the John Ogilvie and Calderside clusters all so benefiting for Primary 4 taster sessions.
