A look at how one of our former players is getting on since leaving the Bulls and setting up home overseas.

In each article, we ask the player to let us know their memories of Hamilton Rugby Club and what they are currently doing on and off the pitch...

What are your highlights and memories of Hamilton Rugby Club?
I played for the Bulls in the 2008/09 season and remember clearly(ish) The Palace and then going on to Your Spice on the way home.
Seriously though, the best memory would have had to be when watching the All Blacks against Scotland and going to Murrayfield in a stretch limo! Enjoyed every minute of playing but best on-field memory would've been winning at home in front of the Laigh Bent loyal!

Special Mention to Morley, Jings, Shotgun, McGrath (who couldn't beat me at anything, including wrestling), Mr. Wallace, Mr. Gemmell, Pepsi, and the Tea Club crew!!

What's going on at the moment on and off the field?
Retired now, and am engaged to wed in Fiji September of this year, two little girls Eva who is 6 and Maxie aged 2. They take up most of my time nowadays, but I plan to get into coaching next year and remain a die-hard Hurricanes supporter.

It was such an honour to wear the bull on the chest, will always remember and be forever grateful for the hospitality and support for us kiwis while we were there! Will definitely return one day to show my kids where I had the pleasure of playing the game I love.

Anyway, must go - big dogs gotta eat![/i]

Thanks for the update Shaun. All the best with your wedding and remember that you always have a home at the Bulls.
