With two squads travelling to our twin town in France to compete for the bi-annual trophy the race is on to get the funds in place to ensure that the young teams can have the honor of not just representing Hamilton Rugby Club but their country as well.

The trip that lasts from the 8th to the 13th of June, allows the young players of both communities to understand and enjoy the friendships that Rugby creates across the world. We are lucky, in that our sport allows more than most, for on park rivalries to be forgotten as soon as the match is over and for our common bond of rugby to create friendships that will last, in some cases, a life time.
Some of our young players are just starting their bond with rugby and what better experience can we as a Club give them, than to cement that bond and to show them from an early age, the true value of our sport.

Our relationship with Chatellerault drives this message home by welcoming the opposition players into the families homes to truly experience the culture of another country, by total immersion in that culture. Yes this places people out side their comfort zones but theses are zones that only exist in their head and once they realise that, they have a fulfilling and rewarding experience that will stick with them for the rest of their life.

So we welcome your participation in the main fund raiser for the tour.
We ask that all members and friends of the club give a little to make this happen.
