Simple, fun and sociable exercise.

5 days until Tartan Touch launches at HRFC!

You may have missed our previous new article, it can be found here

It will run for 8 consecutive Wednesdays from 21st June from 6.30pm. Also 3 Sundays - Sunday 16, 23 July and 6 August

Hamilton sets to be one of the most successful hubs in Scotland with over 50 season passes purchased to date!

Some further information:
Dressing rooms will be available (No responsibility can be taken for personal belongings by HRFC – all items are left at owner’s risk.)
Wear suitable sporting attire and please remember a water bottle!
Participants are invited into our clubhouse after the session to enjoy the social side of rugby.

Format of session:
Welcome and Intro
Warm up
Skills development led by Tartan Touch Ambassadors
Tartan touch games
Cool Down

The rules:
Possession lost if:
Touched 6 times
Ball leaves the pitch
Ball passed forward, dropped forward, or kicked forward
Foul play by team in possession
When touched:
Offload within 2 steps or 2 seconds - No offside from the offload
Place ball on ground - Offside line created
Must be passed away by touched player or a team mate

Each game lasts 10 mins with rolling subs.
No ref guidance but ambassadors will be on hand for coaching tips. A fun atmosphere with music.

There will be 3 zones – social pitch, family pitch and ‘elite’ pitch.
Adult Players are permitted to access any zone within the session.
For example, you might want to play an elite game with more experienced players, then your next game play with a family member before finishing off on the social zone with a ‘slower paced’ game of rugby!

Any questions just ask one of the ambassadors leading the session!
Look forward to seeing you next week.
